I try to never read books out of order. It wasn't until that I was a few chapters in that I realized there was a backstory that was weaved through this current scene. I kept reading, as it was an interesting Florida-mystery-bizarre-killer-on-the-loose type book that I tend to read quickly. I will probably go back an read the first two in the "series" . . . but maybe when this one is not so fresh in my mind.

It has the comedic, somewhat implausible story line with enough Florida intrigue to keep me interested.
